The Journal Educacion Quimica
Educación Química is a quarterly Journal published by Facultad de Quimica of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma
de México (Mexican National University) and six chemistry professional associations in Mexico. Its purpose is to communicate didactic contributions and researchs related to the education of chemistry in Mexico, in order to contribute to the teachers upgrading and to spread the innovations in this field between researchers and teachers. Educacion Quimica pretends to fulfill the niche of being the best Journal in Iberoamerica in its field and accepts the publication of articles in Spanish, English, French and Portuguese.
The journal became 19 years old in 2008 and has been indexed by the Chemical Abstract Services since 1993, as well as by Latindex and Iresie. It has a national and an international editorial board; the first one with members from 15 education institutions, industries and professional associations, and the later with members form 11 Iberoamerican countries. To sustain the editorial quality, all the published articles must undergo a strict refereeing, needing to be approved by two referees at least.
